I am back from my vacation!
ALHAMDULILLAH,
I am overjoyed, over the moon, on cloud 9 and extremely happy. Thank you my man for having this trip as our 8th year boyfriend-girlfriend to man & wife anniversary.
I will try to blog and elaborate more on my holidays though I may miss out some points. Our trip started on 3 April 2014. For the first time, we took the flight to Kuala Lumpur. No longer taking the coach or driving.
DAY 1:
The last time we took the flight together was in 2012 - Our honeymoon to Phuket.
Since all our hotels & flight to and fro are already in a package, we decided to go on public for our trip. Thank God the husband know his sense of direction. I am a map and direction noob. Trust me I don't even know how to look at the Google Map.
HANCUR! HOPELESS!
The flight was only 1 hour - SHORT FLIGHT EVER = I LOVE IT. I simply love short flight trip cause I dislike sitting in the plane for too long. Not to mention AIR ASIA Planes are too cramped for people who have long legs like both myself and the man.
We reached Low Cost Cargo Terminal (LCCT) Airport at 12pm and we were taken aback at the super melampau long queue. It caught my mind that why KLIA airport so... you know.. Only to realize yesterday that it was not KLIA but LCCT.
Selenge kan?!
We took a bus to Salak Tinggi before proceeding to take the fast train to KL Sentral.
Both the bus & train ride cost RM12.50 per pax.
The train was literally a fast one and it took about errmm, let's say less than 30 minutes. It's 5 stations away and I remember the journey is like from Pasir Ris MRT Station to Bedok Station just that the distance was slightly far than the usual.
It was drizzling when we're in the train and the moment we reached KL Sentral Station, it stopped but the skies was dark. Little did I know that we should take another monorail to Bukit Bintang, where our hotel were located at.
This part, I feel a little cranky already cause it was close to 2pm and I have not had any lunch yet. So, that really explains it all. The moment we reached Bukit Bintang Monorail station, the first thing I asked "turn left - BB Hailam Chicken rice for lunch. Turn right, cross the road and walk and find the hotel, check-in & go out again. Which you prefer."
Obviously the man was also hungry therefore we had a FEAST!
Apparently, we told the waited we want one whole chicken. Half is STEAMED CHICKEN, the other half ROASTED CHICKEN but as you can see, it came with one whole chicken steamed and roasted. This is what I say - WOAH!
Texted the Sister-In-Law (SIL) that it feels weird not having them in our trip cause we had the same BB Hailam Chicken Rice 6 months ago, while HUD is still inside her tummy. & probably thanks to this picture, the Brother-In-Law (BIL) brought the wife to have Chicken Rice for dinner.
Right after we finished eating, I went "that's it. I think that's enough chicken for me for this entire whole week"
We took a stroll along Sungai Wang - Lot10 - Fahrenheit - The Ritz Carlton Residence - The Westin and finally found our hotel, located next to The Westin and infront of The Ritz Carlton Hotel.
Only to realize that the hotel is surround by 5-star hotel.
Presenting the hotel - DORSETT REGENCY Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
Level 26 - View from hotel room - not so interesting like the one from Furama Bukit Bintang.
We freshen up before heading to the malls around the hotel such as Lot 10, Pavillion & Fahrenheit. It starts to drizzle again as we went for shopping but we LOVE it. The fact that Singapore had little rain for the past few months, I really enjoyed walking in the rain.
We had dinner at Pavillion Mall, Pepper Lunch. As some may know, Pepper Lunch in Singapore is NOT HALAL CERTIFIED. Therefore, of course, I would like to give it a try. I had some sizzling Salmon/Egg/Rice meal while the man had my side dish - which is the ice-cream.
After dinner, took a short stroll along the streets before calling it a day off. Wouldn't want to spend so much on the 1st day, therefore, we head back to the hotel quite early.
Before I end my entry for DAY 1 holiday, do check out my DAYRE for my updates for my trip.
To my DAY 2 to 4 Entry, probably in the next few days to come. Until then, I'm calling it a day.
