RAMADHAN MUBARRAK 1433H

It's already a week since we muslim had our fasting.

Alhamdullilah everything went well for me and my family. What about you my readers? Hope everything is doing great.

So, what is RAMADHAN?

The Prophet Muhammad S.A.W peace and salutations be upon him said: "Break your fast with dates, or else with water for it is pure."

Indeed, to me, whenever it comes to Ramadhan or any other dates where I decided to fast, my pre-dawn meal will always be a cuppa tea or milk or just a glass of water along with 3 dates and it last me for the whole day. I know some have said you would probably get dehydrated, hungry, headache and mood swings during the day and of course hungry. But to me, Alhamdulillah, I SURVIVE!

The reason is had a glass of water and dates is number 1, following the sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad S.A.W peace and salutation be upon him. Number 2, my stomach can never accept food early in the morning. It would gave me a terrible stomach pain during the day or worst, while on my way to work where of course you can never find a toilet at the bustop nor in the bus.

We are also not encourage to buy or cook alot of dishes for our breaking fast. We are being taught not to waste food and also not to follow out WANTS most of the time. This is where the term endurance and patience comes.

Fasting is a shield with which a servant protects himself from the fire - Sahih Ahmad

Ramadhan is also about giving and forgiving.

Forgive those who made you angry, who hurts your feeling. Trust me. The moment you forgive them, you'll feel at ease and calm in your heart. Don't believe me, TRY IT OUT! There is nothing to lose for you live for ALLAH S.W.T.

On top of all that, fasting is not about what you eat and what you drink in this month of victory, Ramadhan. But is is about what I can GAIN and what I should do to be a better person in this month of Ramadhan and AFTER Ramadhan.

To end my entry, I wish all the muslim all over the world and of course my readers - Have a blessed month and May ALLAH S.W.T bless and shine the nur into your lives and your families. Amin.
