Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE)
Recently, the Primary 6 students received their PSLE result. Alhamdullilah, everyone passed with both flying .To those who pass their exams, it paid all the hardwork and effort. To those who didn't managed to score well, indeed you should buck-up, pull up your socks when you enter the new school called SECONDARY.
To my dear cousins Thoyyibah & Aisyah, CONGRATULATIONS for getting yourselves into the express stream. You guys are so much much clever and genius than me. You guys are COOL!! I'm proud of you girls.
To my dear little cousins on paternal side, especially the boys, please work harder. You know if you work hard or not.
I tried not to sound like some counsellor here but as the 1st cousin sister, I think its my job to bring this matter up. I detest those who demotivate them. I'm sure they are pretty upset with their result. Scolding them upside down, inside out, degrading them doesn't bring any good to either you or these kids.
It's not wrong to set up high expectations on future school. We don't called that 'Belagak' we called that AIM HIGH. Frankly speaking, #typicalmelayu like to downgrade whose who are already doing bad. Indeed, they should counsol them and say "its ok! try harder next time"
I mean, it is wrong for these kids to go into good schools?? I ever dreamt of going to University of London or Harvard University for my Degree. Still, it is wrong to dream high. Come'on people. Its all in the mind. You set it, You achieve it! If you can't achieve it, try harder. I'm sure there's no law saying STOP! Dont try harder??
I know how they feel cause I myself didnt do so well in PSLE. But I still managed to do well in Normal Acadamic stream. With the agg of 166, I know how these kids feel. I know how it feels to be judge like that. I know how upset and disappointing it feels. Prove to those who laugh at you. Prove to them that you can do it! Make your parents proud!
So, I recon to those who degrading them to stop doing so. Always think positive. #typicalmelayu macam mana nk maju kalau slalu kutuk org. Remember that you live in the world where Karma happens. You said it to them, you'll received it in the future. Every words that comes our mouth are Doa's. So, please say something nice and positive. The result will be great.
To my these little kids, Please don't give up. Study Smart, Play well :D
